i have a pair of AB 500.1's strapped @0.5ohm, so each sees 0.25 before rise. couldnt get a full burp before they clippe.

d so i unstrapped them to 1 ohm each before rise and i gained 1 full db, volage drop was 15.7 from 17.8v start

What about rolling the volume?

Also you could try a smaller box to get a higher impedence rise

if you can..start doubling up on panels in your enclosure. a box that flexs less will have more rise generally

0.25ohm is tough on any amplifier, doing that at 18V is even harder. Changing the enclosure depth might help, but that's going to change alot of things.
