I Have attempted with a few different head units, an installation. The problem is the same with all of them, every time I connect the yellow memory wire, I either blow the fuse in line or one of the few that are associated with the Mountaineers radio. I can't come up with anything that would cause this.

maybe you have a bad radio, I thought. but you say you've tried multiple new decks.
Why are you replacing the radio? Did the factory one quit working?
It's possible that you have a bad factory amplifier

There was a Pioneer P-860 installed.(by someone else) Ribbon tape and connector broke but had worked for a long time.

I do not think this has anything to do with an amp bypass but at this point I am stretching. As far as I know, one does not need to be installed.
