I have 2 amps in my car, both are 1 ohm stable, i have a 1000d on each pair of subs, with the memphis products i can only get a 1.5 ohm load per amp, or i can hook all 4 subs to 1 amp and have a .8 ohm load, i have tested with 3 different meters and 3 different types of speaker wire, one amp will run all 4 subs, they should be at .5 ohm load and throw the amp into protect, i have tested with planet audio, pioneer, memphis, quantum and db drive, the memphis are the only ones i cannot get the ohm load right on, i am not a professional but have been competiting off and on since 2000 so i should be able to get the ohm load right, has anyone else had an experience like this? or have a suggestion

i got 4 daul 2 and get .5 when i wire a pair of them up they are the m3 memphis subs . might be your box there in or a bad coil .
i know you said 3.8-4 each but when wired up you maybe doing something wrong . are you testing them after playing or before . i would check with a memphis tech and talk to them .

i have checked 2 m3 subs that are brand new, never played all 4 that are slightly used in my car, and a bunch of power reference subs that are in stock and new, and get the same result with them all, i'm going to call memphis monday but was wondering if i was doing something wrong, i have checked and checked, they are all wired parallel, but some used quantums, db drive, and new pionner and new planet would pull down the ohm load right
