i have a jbl 100 x 4 amp for my mb quarts. installed in 2005 sentra spec v. every once in a while my mids stop sounding. literally i can only hear my sub. but no mids. i turn the radio off for like 20 min. or so. and then the mids come back on without a problem. only thing is when i turn the car off i get a considerably loud pop coming from the mids. this pop is only when the mids are functioning properly. i was thinking maybe my grounds were bad but checked it and are pretty well grounded in bare metal. so i am guessing it could be the rca's or even the power cable. i am running an 8ga. power cable for the 4 channel amp and a separate 4ga power cable for the sub amp.
please help! am i right should i change the rca's or that is not an issue? thanks.

if that amp is 100x4rms at 4ohms it should have 4 gauge running to it because it is class a/b and draws alot of current.
