is your amp mounted? Is it mounted somewhere that has lots of vibration? Is it a power cap or filter cap?
Call Maxxsonics and ask to speak with Mike Stiers. Tell him the situation. He can either refer you to an authorized repair center, or do something else. I know there is one in pennsylvania. DIA or something like that. Was it purchased from an authorized retailer.

The place in pennsylvania is called CIA Engineering. I would strongly suggest not sending your amp there. They have had my xx cyclops for about 7 months now. I was calling them every other day and kept getting the same response "They were waiting for parts". It was a period of time that I was calling and no one would even answer the phone. When he finally did answer, he gave me some excuse about his building catching on fire. The last time I called them, some guy named "Joe", said that they couldn't fix it, but he had a used xxv cyclops that he could could sell me for $650.00. I just could not mention this to maxxsonics. I'm still, to this day, trying to understand why a authorized repair center for maxxsonics can not fix there product???? I finally called maxxsonics, and some very RUDE lady there pretty much told me that they couldn't do anything for me. I even sent a email to someone higher up in the company hoping to get some kind of help. They never responded back to me. To this day they still have my amp, if it could not be fixed you would think they would send it back. The moral of this story is Maxxsonics service is great when your purchasing their product, but it SUCKS when you need help repairing their product!!!!

Boss, I gotta step in on that comment. I live over 6000 miles away from them, or any repair shop for that point, and I have purchased products from authorized for Maxxsonics (as stated on his site!)and had some problems, Mike stiers gave me help right to the end! (and I wasn't on the team at that time either!) That is one of the reasons that I asked to Join the team! THEIR SUPPORT for their products! I know that people run into bumps sometimes with big companies but over all, They are tops in my book, and until defend Maxxsonics to the end!

I'm not the only one having problems with maxxsonics repair shops. There are several posts on car audio forum with people having very similar problems. Most of them dealing with "CIA Engineering", who are the authorized repair center for maxxsonics on the east coast. Gavin, I'm sure they would give me great customer service if I invested as much money in their product as you have, but I'm just the little guy that had to bust my a$$ to get one amp. I guess I have to spend a little more money to get some real customer service.

Not really, I only had a MM4000 that I smoked due to MY DUM error. So you don't need to drop a ton of money, 1 amp or 16 amps, I'm sure with out a doubt, maxxsonics will not leave you hanging in the wind.
