Does anyone have an explanation on the tech side of how the "local area network" works. is it digital? low current DC or AC. And another question would be, where is the best place to tap ign?(other than the ign harness), thats where I normaly go with these new systems, of course with an additional fuse for amp trip lead.Just curious as how the system works. any info is welcome. Thanks, Nate

most "local area networks" are the same, like can bus and the rest, you have alot of experience, so I am asking for a good explanation and maybe some short cuts on finding a fused IGN spot on both systems. Thanks

how much current are you wanting to pull? i wouldnt pull more than 10amps MAX from a ignition harness.

if you are tring to make a remote turn on lead for a amp buy a audiopipe line out put converter with rto. they dont cost much and you wont be running the amps until the headunit is on. if u need one pm me...

there's always AudioControls LC7 with signal sensing turn-on lead, or Rockford's 360.2
