Pioneer 7900 BT driving Infinity 60.7cs components run through an Infinity 475a amp in a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

k So I had front speakers sounding awesome-like, got the microphone hooked up so that I could recieve calls and such and talk hands-free which was cool. So then I decide to hook up my back right speaker, I get the holes drilled in door, run wires, get it connected to crossover, and plug it in(the speaker on back left is not plugged in, nor plugged in to amp). Once I do this I plug the crossover into the amp without having the tweeter plugged into the crossover. I turn deck on and everything sounds alright. But I got the same problem I had before where if I turned the volume past a certain point the amp would go into protect. I figured that I had to have the other side plugged into the amp so that it was balanced on the rear amp channel. So then I unplug the crossover wires from the amp, and during doing this i drop one of them onto the amp ground wire accidently. It sparks and the speakers start playing loud popping noises, I have my friend turn car off. Sorry for long post btw. Now I have rear channel unplugged completely, both the RCA and the speaker line from the amp. Still its making weird noises, like a whining sound, with the car off. I started the car and I can hear the engine whining int he background, and the whining increases when I press on the gas. Anyone tell me what my problem is here? Did I blow my amp(It still plays music theres just loud whining interference in background). Also it pops when I turn the deck on and off(and I can see the speakers going near their max excursion or w/e.) Any help would be great. Thx tons

Also I've checked to make sure ground/power wires to amp are connected good, as well as the signal wires to front L/R crossovers. RCA's are plugged into proper spots as well. Have tried disconnecting battery ground to "reset" system and that didn't work. Reset deck and that didn't work. Both on-amp fuses are fine, deck fuse is fine, fuse on positive battery cable right near battery is fine. I have no idea what went wrong unless I blew some circuit inside the amp or something.

signal ground is ****ed up. the are always ****ed up in pioneer decks, and you may have fudged them up elsewhere too.

So does that mean I need new RCA's? Or how do I fix that?

depends what all is ****ed up. The picofuses in the deck may be fried, and have had bad ground from the beginning.
Anything on the signal inputs and outputs could be fried. maybe even caps in the crossover. is it passive or active?

Not sure how I tell whether its active or passive. Has power wires coming in from each amp channel and going out to tweets/woofers. Has switch where I can put it to +0 or +6 and thats it.(Infinity 60.7cs) is the components, using the stock xovers.

K an update. I put some wire around the 2 RCA's and connected the other end to the deck ground and teh sound was still there. I turned car off and snipped that wire, and removed it from around the RCA's, turned car back on and now tjhe sound is gone. How does this make sense?

Pioneer sucks. if made on Friday, or if there are gremlins. its close to halloween. Just being honest, it does not matter who made your speakers, it matters how they are installed. ot only takes one to ruin the rest as far a diagnostic goes, find the bad one , be it an rca or spk, it takes time but thats how you learn.

K doign some tests w/ volume all the way down. I dont' want to say im "sure" its the RCA grounds, but i stripped a 6 inch section of wire and ran it around the negative parts of the RCA's at the deck, and then stripped a small piece of the other end and touched it to the deck case and the sound goes away. This means its RCA's correct? Anyone know a good place where I can buy another set of 4 channel RCA's?(or 2 2 channel sets would work I suppose)

sometimes it's that the RCA outs from Pioneer decks aren't properly grounded, or if the picofuses blow, the WEAK ground that is there gets cut out.

fi you grounded the outside of the rca and the noise went away, ground it and be done, its a temp fix for a problem with your H/U, but unless you want a new one, that will fix that issue.
