Ok,I'm going to try to explain this to the best of my abilities. Hopefully one of you guy's can give me a general Idea of what is going on. I just put my Rockford T2000 back in today. I took it out due to a chain of break in's in my area and I'd rather play it safe then have someone try to steal my amp. But today I put the amp in, nothing that I know of is any different then before.

I set the LP Filter to 80, the Phase is turnt to 0, the Mode is set to Single, gain is set with a DMM, both subwoofers are reading 2ohms a piece, the infrasonic filter is turnt on and the voltage is at 14.03 at the amp.

The rest of the system consists of the DB Link 1/0 Kit, SVR50-12 in the trunk, and the head unit is a Pioneer 4800MP. It started today when we put it in. There was a real weird static sound with high pitched squeaks coming from it. Kind of sounds like a radio station you can't pick up. It doesnt affect the performance at all it's just very annoying.

I rode around for a while playing it trying to figure out what It could be and everytime I eject the cd it stops. I don't know if the deck cut's off the power or something when it eject's or what but it goes away then after a minute or so of the cd playing the noise come's back. The noise doesnt get any louder or anything, I can turn up the volume and the noise just stay's the same.

I'm hoping it's just the RCA's and not the amp but anything any of you guy's can tell me is greatly appreciated.

Try unplugging the RCA's while the amp is turned on, if the noise goes away there's a pretty good indication that the noise is coming from either the deck or the RCA's.

Later,
Mike

If the weird sound is there when you use the Tuner, then I would suspect the h/u. If it only makes weird noises when you are switching cd tracks (like lil weird electric motor noises as if it's tracking something) Try turning your gains down a lil.

Is there any alternator noises while the vehicle is running?

The power output on the h/u's amp turn on lead shuts off when you eject cds unless you turn the tuner on.

Well today it's gotten alot cooler outside and now the static is gone. I rode around and played it for a good 25-30 minutes and it never started. But last night it would do it after a couple minute's and it wouldn't stop unless I ejected the cd. Once I would eject the CD it would stop for the first few seconds on the new cd then start back. I don't know if the fan has something on it to only let it run at certain time's when the amp is hot or what but like I said yesterday it got right around 95degrees outside and today with it only being in the 60's it's playing just fine.

There is no kind of alternator noise or whine at all. When the noise start's I can turn the volume down to 0 and it's still there and I can switch to the tuner and it is still there. Do you think maybe a wire could be crossed up somewhere causing it to run some kind of interference to run out when the fan turn's on?

Thanks for all the help.

double check your ground. If it's because of the fan, that's odd. Maybe there is something not grounded in the amp. I would think that the fan would be isolated from the signal chain.

If it's getting hot that quick, double check your ohm load on the amp.

don't unplug RCA's while everything is turned on.
