I have a 97 GLX Jetta with the factory bose system. I went to BB and got a harness and the guy told me that it would work. CD player turns on, but Im getting no sound. Any thing you guys can think of?

are you sure you have the factory remote wire hooked to the remote wire on the harness or cd player harness?

I have a 96 gti and I believe its part of the security system PITA. Try WWW.the12volt.com for a free wiring diagram.

After reading a bit more. It could be the little amps on the back of the speakers if you have those. I didn't have factory Bose, but my Dodge Ram gave me a similar problem. Turns out it was little amps. My fix was to disable the amps and go straight to the speakers.
