I have a voltage “problem” that’s getting on my nerves

up front I have a Optima red top battery running 4 gauge through a 100a circuit breaker to a optima yellow top in my spare tire area then 4 gauge running to my HIFONICS ZXI8006 ZEUS 5 Channel Amp it has two 50a maxi fuses in it. I have added a 4 gauge power directly from my alternator to my positive side terminal post and a 4 gauge from my negative terminal directly to my frame for ground I can crank my car up and it ildes at only 12.5 volt them when I switch it off it goes directly to 12.1.

can anyone tell me what I can do? Thank you!

First off you really shouldn't run two different batteries, regardless if they're the same company. Secondly, have that Alternator checked before you drain those batteries beyond charging.

I run dual Yellows and bought an Iraggi Alternator when my stock one gave me the same problem.

Your Alternator cannot handle charging both batteries. You need to upgrade that Alt. [Cool]

Try putting the Yellow top under the hood and see what happens. I have an S10 that I run a yellow top under the hood (but I do have an IRAGGI alternator) and have no voltage issue whatsoever.

I also have replaced all the wiring to 1/0 from battery including ground-starter-Amps...

I run a Rockford 400a4, a Rockford T-3000 and two Viair 480 compressors for the Air-Bags.

no sounds like you have a battery problem. Take the yellowtop out of your trunk and check the voltage of it without anything hooked up. You can also take your batterie to Autozone or Advance auto and they can charge and test it for free.
