I installed a hu into the 90 olds 98 and as with gm harnesses there is a 4th plug that is usually absent or used with steering wheel controls( this car dosent have them). I couldnt find the wiring diagram for this car. the problem is the parking lights now run when the ignition is on, like running lights?!? what is this 4th plug for and can I jumper it so it dosent turn on the parking lights?

sounds like the illumination wire on the main harness (should be Orange or Orange/White on the harness you purchased) is connected to accessory. disconnect the orange or orange/white wire and see what happens.that 4th plug will have nothing to do with the lights.

I also think you have something hooked up wrong .On most decks your dont need the dimmer or ill. wire .So start by disconnecting them and go from there .
