I just got my car back from the bady shop and put my subs back in. I left my amp in while it was in the shop because I didnt think it would be as easy to damage. Anyways I got my subs back in and played them for about 45 seconds and my line fuse. I got a new fuse and started playing it and now I smell burning copper. The only wiring I changed before I put the subs back in was the wiring on my line converter. I had the + and - reversed on the left channel so I went ahead and changed them. The amp doesn't get very much more hot than it did before it went to the shop so what could be the problem?

I dont think that it could have caused that, sounds only like one of the woofers would have played out of phase it you wired one of the imputs backwards

check your connections...

it's very possible you've got a loose connection somewhere...that will cause a high resistance > heat > melted wires.
