Nothing bad, just to help some of you with trouble shooting.
Today was gorgeous outside. I was going to a buddies house and had the system up loud. Bass sounded great and for the most part the mids/highs were sounding good too. I listened a little closer and im hearing a little crackle from the driver front speaker. Im thinkin wtf okay blown speaker. Test it on my home stereo, nope not the problem. Tweeter is blown though. Messed up crossover??? tested the midrange output and tweeter output also on from my home stereo, nope. wires a speaker striaght from the amp, blown speaker output on the amp!! At higher volumes the output will try to play but its very distorted and its only under bass output! So if your speakers are crackling or sound like they want to play but are heavily distorted, chances are its the amp.
Thats how you trouble shoot folks, this is mainly for the people who are new to car audio.
Ahh well, time for a new amp which I might have tomorrow or friday. US Amps (USA-50)

Are you sure that it isn't a poor connection in the RCA chain? How about going a little further up the signal chain? Might save you a couple bucks. (although I usually look for any excuse to get new equip. myself ) I would rig up a discman/ipod to test out the amp and rule out the headunit. (just my .02)
Definately a great post on how to troubleshoot!

Well turns out what caused the amp to blow the channel was a pinched wire over time. The amp was a fast repair too, fuse blew internally. Replaced the pinched wire and fuse, reinstall everything, good to go!
Funny you mention the headunit though, I worked at a shop for today for extra cash. Dude walked in saying the shop is bu!!Sh!t because his amps arent playing any sound. I told him to chill out and give me 30 minutes. The head unit shorted out on the RCA outputs, replaced the unit and explained to him what happened, he appologized.
