For GZ man or anybody else with radiator experience.

I am thinking of using passive radiators in conjunction with the earthquake magma subs in my next install. Is their any special tips to using them? I have no experience with them. But basically understand how they work. Any help would be great.

Unless usiing a specific passive radiator 'system' where you buy the woof and radiator together and get specific instructions, I would avoid them like the plague!!

Yes the passive and the sub are matched to each other.

from all that I've read the radiators tend to have problems with reflection (and thus cancelation, etc) in the small confines of a car - fine for home audio - aww well, I'll be corrected if wrong, thats all just IMHO

Ports offer the same output advantage and take up less area!

Pretty sure a ported enclosure will be larger...and the port(s) itself/themselves will take up more room than a passive radiator in a sealed box with a driver, I believe...

But I would like to experiment with them for a home audio setup though...might in the future
