Hey are the Orion Cobalt series Subs any good. I want to use them if they are but for a ported box the box has to be huge.So i was thinking of using a sealed box.

Yes, i think they are good subs. No there not as good as the xtremes. Cobalts are the original extremes anyway. ive done tone of systems using them and they sound good, but If you were planning on hitting any big numbers i would just go ahead and spend the extra money and go up to the extremes. Where i work there only a $30.00 dollar difference and with the xtremes you get, a better surround ,more power handlig, they will play louder, and the LIFETIME WARRANTY. The extra money is really worth all that. My cousin has 4XTR3 15s and one 800 and is hitting 153db,in a factory mits. Maybe not the loudest thing buy you should see his electrical tape job. www.rdsound.com
