I built a pair of abc's for my 6.5" power logic coustics and took my handy radio shack meter and hit 121 in my room @ 1 meter (39") away. Good ol' nwa and 50 watts.

im wanting to build one of these boxes for a single fosgate dvc10 (rfp-1210). powered with about 500-700 "super-clean" watts.
any suggestions of specific designs w/dimensions, would be of the most benefit.
should i "plot" the largest box i can, at the lowest frequency possible, then add another enclosure 1/2 the size, with the 3 ports? (all of same size also?)
i plan to take photo's, and post the results of the final product, to further enhance this kick-@$$ thread!
thanks in advance

No - you would subdivide that box, not add to it.
For the DVC10 (one of my all time favorite drivers!) I would use 1.5cuft net total volume. This makes 1cuft and .5cuft net.

so let me get this straight: lets just say that the box needs to be 5 cubic feet. first I build a chamber that is 3.5 cubic feet and that is the subwoofer chamber and then I slide a piece of board with a 12" port in it, into the box and silcon that board. Next I make sure I have a chamber that is 1.75 cu.feet, because that is half of 3.5 cubic feet. right? In the early post like number three or somethign like that it says something about there being three holes. I get where to put the two port holes but where do I put the third one at?

yup, you'll have one chamber that is 1.75 cu. ft., and the other will be 3.25 cu. ft.
so now you have 2 chambers. these 2 chambers will be joined by 1 (of 3, all the same size) port. then, each chamber will have 1 port in it. so basically, there are 2 speaker boxes, each will have a port, then the 2 chambers will joined with the third port.
atleast, that's the way i interpret it......
Dukk, also just wondering about the port length(s), since you might know a little more about my specific sub. im just going to use 4" pvc, for simplicity of modifying the length(s).
thanks

so let me get this straight there is one port that connects them that is coming off of the sub encloser and then there is another port that is coming out of the empty encloser and that is the only ports in the box?

Refresh and a question for Buzz and Dukk (Dukk you have mail)
I have 2 Rockford Fosgate Punch POWER DVC 15s (RFR2215) and they will be powered by a bd1000a1 on each.
I want to use this enclosure design because from all the feedback, it seems like one of the most optimum enclosures out there. I want loud loud SPL, decent SQ, no slop or port whooshing. I wont be competing all the time, mainly street slamming.
I have a 1996 blazer and my usable dimensions are 38"W (between the fender wells) X 30-35" D (back seat to tailgate) X how ever high it needs to be.
If you need more info on what Im wanting let me know.

blazer, i think i answered your question on the carsound forum.....
and after calculating your maximum box dimensions, you could get about 16 cubic feet total, for 2 subs in separate enclosures to share. this will need the maximum of the width, and the depth, and will need to be about 25" tall (external dimensions).
hope this helps,
peace
