Well my first post in this thread, and damn I got the 600 mark. LOL

abc box. hhmmm

is it worth it ? how does it sound ? is there any benifits of doing it ? and how do you design it ?

PS.. didnt go thru all 24 pages, to lazy to take that time , especially when there is more testing in my van to do. :-)

Well, my ABC box for my RFP 2208, it has better sq than a sealed across a wider bandwidth with about 75% of the output of an all out spl ported box. I LOVE it!!

I've been considering trying one of these for the fun of it, but I was wondering, how's the 'punch' from this design, like the kick drum reproduction, how does that aspect of the SQ compare to sealed?

Never posted to this thread before, but the first time I saw it (it was on 24 pages, I think) I read ALL of it. Sounds like a really interesting box design. Took me a good few hours over a couple of days to read it all. Anyway, I bet it makes at least another page this time around [Smile]

By the way, I'd like to build one for my Infinity Perfect 12.1D. Ideas as to how to get started? Or is this not a good sub for this type of box...

well what would u guess 1 12"orion xtr3 and about 150wrms in an abc box hit?? i just gote mine metred and was totaly blown away, aswell as the instalers at the shop, [Big Grin]

anyways, try and guess, ill post my # in a lil bit, latah

ok, i hit a 136.9 legal, with 1 12"orion xtr3 and my lil puny pg qx2100 pushing about 150wrms, cant wait to get my amp back and my new sub [Razz]

is there a rule to start from when building an abc box ? do you calc out a ported box tuned to what you want it at and then build the half sized box with all equal ports ?
