Mr. Flamboyant, what do you think of 3 L7 10's in 6 Cu. Ft. tuned around 32-34Hz??
How much port would you reccomend as a minimum??
If you need the T/S parameters let me know.
I have all of them from kicker for all '02 and '01 drivers. I could even just e-mail you th winISD .drv files.

I am jsut curious, ahs anyone on here used an Eclipse 88150 in an ABC box? If so, which page is it on? I have one in an extended cab truck, and am thinking about switching from the sealed box to an ABC...Thanks!

Ash

Took three days, but I read the whole post. Informative, but... There seem to be inconsistencies regarding the correct method of calculating the total volume (A+B). Some posts suggest plotting a large dual-port enclosure, and then adding 1/3 for the 'small' chamber. Others indicate dividing the calculated airspace into 2/3 1/3. I understand the porting and the necessity of subtracting the port / sub volume - I'm just not sure how to derive the TOTAL enclosure volume. Thanks.

calculate 1 BIG box with 2 ports, tuned lower 30Hz (acutally use 3 ports).... chop that box into 1/3 & 2/3 chambers.... make sure there is not too much of the middle port in either chamber, this is where it can get kinda tricky, unless your a math-whiz....

hope this helps,

Laurent, Tryin2bump uses the same subs you are in the same type box.

Him, Mr. Flmaboyant and I went through a couple of designs. I'll dig up the posts so you can read em.

You can e-mail Tryin2bump here: nawtynitro2000@cs.com

If you want ot build every box separately and slap them together, use his design. Or else you need to make one big box and calculate a new port length.

yeah...

kind of a neat design, that can pound your head off, and sound decent at the same time...

audioenthusiast,

figure giving the HCCA 12 about 5 cubes of net airspace (after port and sub displacements)...

hope it helps,

-later
