I'm just wondering if a 12 solo can be put to a bigger sealed box. Currently i have .88 cu ft. Can I make a bigger box approx. 1.25 cu. ft.?

I wouldnt. I did a solo 15 in a ford escort hatchback for a guy. The sub was in around 1.4 or so and he had 600 watts and was pulling 145's at the dash. The subs didnt hold up long though. Just a thought

Using less subs, getting more SPL!

Kicker spends alot of time researching their subs and the enclosures you can put them in. They test every possible configuration of sub, power and box. When the sub comes back to them they know almost exactly what power and box the sub had and was in. They wont warranty it if it was improperly installed.

Generally sound is an indication of performance. If the bigger box makes your sub sound better then go for the bigger box. If the bigger box makes it sound like **** then you'ed better keep it small.

I have a friend whose solo's are in a 1.25 cu.ft box and they sounded REALLY GOOD compared to a .88 cuft box. Each sub is getting an approx of 350 watts each.
