they sound good, they look good, but the price is way steep. just make sure that you get a v.2 (version 2) the first series of x-max subs they made had problems with the adhesive that holds the spider to the basket. made a real ugly mess when it broke !

Well, I guess I am biased here, because I use them. I have 15's though. Although I don't always win with them, I have taken 18 trophies the past season. I hit mid 145s constant with 2, and am quite happy with how they work. I have the first versions, and have had no problems with them. I have never heard of the problem with Xmaxs, but I know that MTX has that problem with their extremes.

I used to use XMAX subs and they sound great. Never got real high numbers with them 143+ with 4 10's sealed with 200 watts each in trunk. Always got complemented on how good a 147 outlaw score sounded so clean though. They look cooler than most subs too.
