Go with the 4 12's. It will look a little more impressive and should out do the 2 15's by a couple db.

I agree, the 4 12"s have cone area advantage, but will require more power... Personally I like BIG things, and 15"s can do more for the AHHHHH factor...

Yes but 4 speakers can also be more wowing than 2 speakers. I suppose it depends on how much $$ and power you have.

Yes, power should be your big concern here... If you have or are getting a healthy sized amp and will buy another later go with the 12"s... If you only want one healthy amp, go with the 15"s"...
