I can do a ported box of about 6 cu. ft, would i do better with 2 JL W3 15"s or with
4 JL W3 12"s, given that space and using the same amp?

Actually I just did a box for 3 12w3's and it was 7 cubes. Four of them in 6 cubes would work but if you could get more room then do it. Even 2 15W3's in 6 cubes would be kinda small, however they would like that size better than the 4 12's in the same area.
