I buit 3 of them so far. Two 10 inch models and one modified for a pair of 15's. By the way the 15 box will not fit in a typical car. The 10's killed and the 15's O'my GOD... I have designed many horns before and this is a real effeicient disign the way it couples the two ends of the horns to save box space. If you ever want an awesome home sub cheak out the Home Wrecker. It literally shook the house and broke 4 pictures.

Jeeeeeeze!!! Reinkus-Heinz would be proud of that box!!! Their Denny box (worked with dude who designed it ) might not even hammer like that puppy looks to.
I've always liked sub-horns, just monsterously huge, but equally devestating bass *drool* .
CV used to use sub-horns in movie theatres in the 1970s, Sensurround or something like that. Premiered on the soundtrack of Earthquake, and the reviews were RAVE!!! Can't imagine putting one of those beasties in my house or car.....but it sure as hell would be fun !!!
way to go capple, now you can put that beasty in yer truck!! Might be bigger than the truck though .
l8rz, time to get outa here. Floyd's shutting DC down hard!! Had to wait for bus or else I'd be home already. Hope y'all on the East Coast make it through ok . Catch you on the flip side!!

I know how to design some horns but this one looks complex, I went to the site and was lost in the sales pitch and vaugeness of instructions... The opening should be 1/4 of the speaker fs wave lenth or something like that... This kinda looks like a hybrid t-line and horn smashed together with a sprinkle of crack, in other words right up my alley... Anyway enough ranting, I was thinking a pair of 18"s for a home theater sub... A buddy of mine wants me to build him one so this is perfect timing... Looks like I must research the site more... I will be back with news!!!

The box is relativly simple to layout. Just draw all the lines to what it says. First get your peice of paper and design a box for the 10's like it says. then in my case for 15's multiply everything by 1.5 It works like a charm. And just as a hint. Once you get it draw out go to the main page where it shows the drawing with the subs in the box "blue outlined box" and look at your drawing then turn your drawing upside down and it will all come together. Back to what I was doing. How am I going to with 2 Wicked ones for 4 15's into a 90 cavalier "where is dukk when ya need him" Gonna start on this project next week!

You can't use the same design for a sub that is 32" once you scale the box up that big the flare rate is wrong. You can use the same design for 15" though. However you are going to have to start where the 36" wide version ends. And keep the flare rate the same. Your box will be to big to fit in anything except a van.

I remember when I was first getting into this stuff my uncle's friend showed me a design like this. It seemed so cool. I wanted to design it with 2 10" subs and put it in the well of a firebird or camaro. I haven't seem the guy in about 4 years so I decided to screw the idea.

Can someone please explain how to build one of this for 2 15's "Punch XLC" IM thinking you mean "you must start where the 36" left of" saying that I must make a box inbetween 36-44" ????

Evan, I'm not sure how much a horn is going to help the thunderdome. They need serious motor help before a horn will even start to help them out.
