Does anyone know anything about the sound, or have heard JBL GT's. I am getting them in soon, but I am so freakin' curious seeing that they've been sitting in my room for the past two months while I got the bucks to buy an amp.
How do you think these will sound in a 1.15 cu. ft. enclosure, with 225 watta a peice? The suggested size for a sealed box is 1.2, so I'm guessing they will sound good.
Also, where could I fined rules and stuff for competing, I'm interested in competing in sound quality events. Thanx.

My friend had a 10" jbl gt with dual voice coils (older model), but he had them in a box with 2 cu ft of air space so it was too boomy. He bought a rockford rf 10, and gave the sub to me. Since then the sub has been in a ported box with 1.5 cu ft with a port 4"X14". It had good low bass extension and was very clean. Eventually, I put it in an old jbl tube I had laying around and sold it to my buddy. The tube is sealed with a vol. of about 1.1 ft cu. With only 150 watts rms from a profile amp pushing it, its sound great. Very accurate and suprisingly loud for just one 10. The guy who gave me the sub wants is back because it sounds better than his fockford. A box of 1.2 ft cu sounds good for your 12s". If they don't hit hard enough stuff some polyfill in the box, that will help. Good luck!
