i need help picking out a new sub, i have 6000w rms to play around with but it will be a daily driver and only want to push 5k rms daily. so i need a sub that will take 5k rms.

i thought maybe Treo SSX, or atomic APXX, or T3 T.S.N.S., or Fi BTL, or DC LVL 5, RE XXX, RD heavyweight, soundstream XXX.

or if anyone has anything throw it out there

thx

whats up noob

you wont be able to get recone parts for the 08 TSNS since the 2010's are comming out

Just looking for 1, and what size?

I might be partial to the SS, but I would go with maybe the most cost effective option

i have about 6 cubes to work with, box design isnt drawn out yet but it will have pvc for aeros tuned to 33hz or so.

i did have two 15s, but i think i want to stick with one because of the weight factor. the 08 model is like 87 lbs.

is the 10 version supposed to be better than the 08? prolly more expensive to tho, i found the 08 model for 400 + shipping

the SS isnt too bad, its in my price range too. but i will only have a total of 6k rms.

I would go with the DC Lvl-5
second choice would be the APxx. maybe not as efficient as some of the other subs, but pretty durable

D-bass, why would you go with the DC lvl 5 out of all of those?

great customer service. easy parts availability.
they seem to be quite efficient for their size, yet strong and durable. and can be customized during rebuilds.

a true 4kW daily, that's a challenge for ANY sub, no matter what anyone claims. But if you are sensible about it, you should be fine.

Did you get a Maxxsonics MX-1, MX-3? or MLX-100 yet?
working off that factory radio, that'd be a great benefit.

can you even find a good recone for it?
Dusty from team maxxsonics might be able to recone it.

out of those i would do lvl, btl, heavy weight. reason being you can get recones at a reasonable price.

some of the other woofer listed are hard to get parts for when you blow a sub...

Personally, I would go with 2 12's.

Would handle that power MUCH MUCH better for daily, will work in that amount of airspace, and is actually more cone area than 1 15".

Only negative is some additional weight depending on what model you go with.

i think im going to start back to the basics with this whole idea again and possibly reconfigure some schematics for a new enclosure based on what i had before, but im not sure if i want to go with two 15s again or two 12s. but im leaning towards the 15s because i want low low end, but 12s can do that if you find the right ones i suppose, just wont push as much air
