I would try 3 cubes after displacement and one larger areoport instead of two. there should be some gains there for you.

with tunning that high you must be looking to do high spl burps? if that is the case then in that car I would use two 12's in a street B setup! small box with subs up and port up. that should be good for some real good numbers. I would think that that car should peak around 57-62 Hz.Good luck let me know if that helps.

if you are only wanting to use a single 15. then here is some thing for you to look at as this set up was good for a 152db with two Sundown 2000's it was sub up port back. I still suggest using a single external port. it will make things easier to make adjustments to the tunning with out affecting box volume.

there are a few things to look at first. have you done any work to the car its self? their should be some fresh air vents in the rear of the car under the molding have you sealed those up? have you installed any Dyna mat? there are a ton of things that can be done to inprove your score before building a new box. or changing subs. my suggestion to you is decide how far you are willing to go with this vehicle set a resonable goal and go for it! but for a two 12 set up you can try two seprat boxes 1.5 cubes before displacement sub forward single 6" areo to the rear make sure that you DON'T play below tunning you can turn the subs inside out!! use extream caution!!! keep the ports no less then 6 to 7" inches from the rear hatch. with this type of set up I have seen 155db and up sealed on the dash. there are several things to keep in mind box placement goes a long way!! you will have to check several differant locations to see which gives the best result. in some cases if you move the box 1" you can lose over 1db off your score. good luck and keep testing!! that is the ket TEST TEST TEST!!.
PS: keep us posted would love to see some pics!!

My max trunk space is about 18.5"H x 21"D x 37"W ...
I haven't sealed anything up, yet. Was trying to finalize the box design before I started modding the car. This box is 18.5H x 20.5D x 18.5W and its about 2.7 ft^3 after sub displacement. As you can see, the ports are 2-3" from the side wall, which I think is costing me dB's ... so I wanted to redo the box, put the ports internal and go up to a full 3 ft^3 after displacement, get the ports 4-6" away from the sidewall and see what I can do.

I would definatly move the ports awawy from the wall some. I am sure that is hurting some. another thing is to check what organization you want to run and check the rules for your class. make sure that you know the rules inside and out!! but have you tried it with the seats down box on the passengers side with the ports firing to the rear of the car?

I am competing in USACi Stock 0-600 right now. The car has to be in "stock" condition meaning the seats need to fold back up (i can fold them down while competing though), the sub/enclosure must be below the window line, I am allowed 1 amp no larger than 600W @ 4 ohms, 2 batteries (1+ stock). My goal is a 154-155 out of this setup.
I agree with you about the moving the ports back more, problem is with 2.68 ft^3 tuned for 50hz using 2 6" aeros I need to be around 15.5" effective length ... since the aeros are 18" this means their effective length is closer to 16" ... so my tuning is spot on. That is why I was planning to put them internal this time instead of external. If I have 37"W to work with, and I make the box around 25-26", it will give me about 5-6" on either side of the box to deal with, so there will be room to move it around. Also, at size, the ports will be 6" from the back wall of the box. Using this configuration, I can do subs up port side, sub back port side, sub forward port side and try those. I will have to check into moving the box in a manner in which the seats won't fold back up (IE, If i try sub up port back the box will be 4" or so too deep and won't fit right so the seats won't go up, but i can turn it and the seats will fold up, follow?)

I think I understand now. any thoughts on going to one 8" port? I think that should be smaller for you needs. I have also seen a car from europe that was using two DD 3508's with subs bacck port to the side do 150's

Really? I am basing my impedance by my experience with my Impala. There i had a D2 and did 147's, when I went to the Q1 and paralleled it all down I did high 149's. I could rewire for 1 ohm and try it out

i was comparing the dual2 wired to 1ohm on a memphis 1000w...versus a straight drop-in of a Q1 wired to 1ohm on the same amp, box, everything. box was around 4.2cf net with 65si port, somewhere around 11" deep. output peaked right at 53Hz, but of course that's where my car liked it too.

that is interesting? we are getting ready to do some amp testing our selves!!
we will be testing one amp with three differant subs with different coil options to see how it will effect the output and score should be an interesting test the only down side is they all have differt motors? so not realy a fair test as some subs like a certian size box! we have done other drop in tests where the cone rise went from 0.5 to 1 ohm then we dropped in another set of subs same coil options and the rise changed from 0.5 to 1.5 ohms. still not a fair test either so I guess what I am tring to say is every sub likes a little differant box and it is just a matter of testing to find what will work best for wich sub and power? with a: dual 2 dual 1.4 dual 0.7
