has anyone ever seen a cylinder enclosure? How would you make something like this ported? I figure a 36" diameter 16" high would give me about 7.8 cu ft. How would you brace this and what material would you use to make it?

wow 36 inch round diameter? if u trying the tube enclosure for street class use, all u do if get 10inch, 12 inch, 15 inch, or even 18 inch round sewer pipe. subs will fit inside. and the other end u will out a piece of wood and cut a aeroport hole. now if ur trying to use tubes for like a wall or something, ur gonna have to build the enclosure with out a front baffle. then use what ever size tubes for the subs ur using. the tunning will be in how long the tunes are. someone should be able to explain everything u need.

^what he said. Tubes work well in street setups. Just adjust the length to change the tuning if the tubes are inside a "shell."

I'm thinking more like the the speakers on the side. Not really a tube more like a column. picture a kiddie pool (just for diameter) now place speakers on the size.

well u will need to find thick wall sewer pipe. 12inchs round for a 12 and so on for other size subs. some people cut a round piece of wood for the other end and screw through the side to hold it in and seal it up. then cut a hole in that for what ever port ur gonna use. like a 4 inch or 8 inch port. port length on the port is the tuning.
