Hey guys okay here's the deal...I have a 12" Kenwood KFC-XW1225dB sub that I recently bought from a friend. Well I shipped it to my home address and it showed up and the magnet had fallen off in shipment. I was wondering if there was any way to repair the sub. I attempted to line the magnet back up on the sub but it just crackled and popped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated especially since I just bought it and haven't even had a chance to use it and its already broken. Thanks in advance.

i have never seen the kenwood sub, so im not sure if the magnet is screwed to the basket. or rivets. if it is screwed u can tear it down and screw the mag back to the basket and then do a new recone. if its rivets then its junk, unless u can figure a way out.

It was held on by glue only. It looks like it had holes drilled in the metal plate that the magnet mounts to and the glue went through those holes and all around the plate/magnet face so it would stay together but obviously it wasn't enough. Like I said I tried to get it lined back up but I can't get the voice coil to line up with the hole that's in the center of the magnet so it just crackles and pops when I attempt to see if it works. Any ideas?
