As you can tell by this thread, I'm new here.

Just a short intro: I built my first(home audio) setup when I was 15(I'm 29 now) with two Punch 15's, two Orion 12's and two Jensen 10's. 36 speakers total and 12 old Marantz tuners/amps stacked to the ceiling to power them. I have worked for AudioExpress as an installer and have previously owned a car audio installation/retail shop. I've been out of car audio for about five years now and I'm starting to piece together a new setup.

I'm looking for a good quality 18" sub(sq is not super important); it will be used mainly for daily listening and the occasional db contest. I would like it to be able to handle 1000-1500 rms at minimum. I plan on running an audiopipe AP30001D. Thanks for your responses.

Ok, I think I've decided on the Audioque's hdc318. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with them?

Ok, I just bought a MB Quart DSC2000.1D amp to run this. Hopefully this will do this sub some justice.

Here's the conservative specs and pics of the amp(guts)...

You won't be dissappointed man. Just follow DJ's suggestions on the box and it will slam. I've used every other size and series that AQ has made and they all rock.
