What if when making a box and you brace it you use something like PVC pipe thats cut in half or something to eliminate the sharp right angles. I was wondering if you did would it increase the performance of the woofer. [Big Grin]

45s in the corners dont help really as far as smoothing airflow as much as they reduce internal volume slightly to fine tune enclosure size

Most of the loudest street and superstreet enclosures are cubicle and have all right angles.

OK, then what about a pentagon shape? Would more right angles change anything?

its all in the tuning

We gained a few tenths in cooks not really rounding but "smoothing" the corners with bondo and just sanding it back down to a small roll. But it was originally a loss, had to retune to get a few tenths out of it.

But then again in a normal ported wall...i guess its POSSIBLE you could mess up loading by not having square angles
