any of you guys with hatch cars with trunks that arent too deep and can be a pain to fit a good box design into feel free to try this out. This box can also be made to work in mid size SUV's that dont have a very deep trunk.
ignore the dimentions on the drawin as it was for a specific vehicle
One sub fires up, the other to the side along with the port. The idea is not 100% original, inspired by Terry Brock's "L" shaped box for crx.
Thoughts, ideas, feedback?

I'm a big fan of the design program used. It looks simular to a CRX design that works quite well.
Just the port is in a different place.

I can tell you right away that box would work great in almost any SUV... Jeep, Explorer, Blazer. Have the port back against the hatch and the subs forward. It'd just be a matter of finding the airspace and the port length to make it work at the SUV frequencies.
Love the port.... it looks like a 8" port and the box is built for 12's? Either that or it's taller than 14".
When Jeff and I were playing with the Jeep Cherokee, after a days worth of testing, something very simular was the direction we were going to go. The only difference was we were going to fire both subs forward and put the port in the box. Less chance for cancellation.
But the Jeep Cherokee's potential was limited by the darn frequency. Plus we were already starting to crack the fiberglass rear hatch from the pressure at a 152. I just decided to sell it.
The Jeep liked bigger boxes too. 1.75 for a 12. Damn near 3.0 for a 15. 1.5 for each 10.
It just didn't make sense to work with a vehicle that had such a low frequency and was easily a full db behing a crx.
Are you guys making the trip to OK this year for finals Yuli?
That day I learned more from Jeff than I learned in 3 years prior.

How would this box perform in a daily setup? I think I might give something like this a shot since I have a 11 inch flared port laying around. Think it would work well with two 15"s?

so you have the tools and skill to make that port out of metal, but it looks like you're still cutting speaker holes with a chainsaw. You can get a router and circlejig for under $100

hahahaha. I like the response. I have so many boxes to build now. I know some trunk cars work well with the sub facing up, minus the side firing sub, and external port to the side. Seems like a solid design. Anybody else have any results from this enclosure?
