we had a non-buying customer in the shop the other day. He bought two Shocker subs in a ported box off a "buddy" for 50 bucks. Of course when I have amps starting off around two-hundred...that's way too much money for an amp. so he left. sucks, cuz he had some shocker subs and i wanted to see what they'd do on a 500W amp or something

Also have a pair of unknow shocker 15's. Tripple stacked magnets, smaller motors maybe 6 inch across. They were Q1.4 coils. I saw the part about the quads but it said they were double stacked motors.
Any idea on what these subs could be and if they are worth getting rebuild ?

I still have probably the first pair of Sigs sitting in my closet. I remember they messed up the shipping on the motors and Mike and I drove to some shipping place and loaded all the sig motors into the back of the F150. It was a crazy time. I remember they screwed up and made the pole piece too long and it almost ended the sig series for that year.

Tripple stacked smaller mag sounds like a shocker 3.

The driver you are describing would be the Super Xtreme!
The tripple stacked 3/4" tall magnets 7.5" diameter coupled with a 1.4" tall top plate and a 3.5" winding width on the voice coil allowed these puppies some SUPER xtreme movement potential! this driver could move 1 inch forward and 1 inch back and still have the top plate completely filled with voice coil...this line was very well received in the competition lanes and was beating drivers 2 and 3x its MSRP with drop in comparisons...as a funny side note it was often compared to other manufacturer's top end products and indeed held its own against them even though it was only our midline product at the time!
The super was, in many ways, similar to the shocker III...they both used a 2.25" tall x 7.5" wide magnet structure, same diameter vc, same t-yoke and same soft parts...where they differed is that the III only had a .5" tall top plate and thus a shorter winding width, but it offered user field recone options including various impedance options as well as being able to litterally change the diameter of the driver on the spot in less than 2 minutes!

I have 4 Shocker Extreme 12's I need one or two of them reconed though.. We took these to finals in 2005 I think it was in a maroon van. Now we are going to put them in a 03 explorer and see what they do. BTW, I was curious if these subs are allowed to be used in Street B?? I thought rules said they had to be commercially available, and im not sure these are.
