DCSoundLab LVL5 10" dual 1ohm coils. Rusty put this together per my request and I think it came out pretty darn good.

that little chip on the magnet dont mean sh!t.

i bet it will take ALOT more than 9k for burps at least the coil. i have seen good 4layer coils handle alot more than that and hold up.

looks like it will be fun to load in the baffle. good think he uses a 12 spoke because they have one of the largest cut outs for a 10"...

Yeah Im not worried about the chip in the mag. I bet it could take more but I only gots 9kw to throw at it [Laugh] wish I had more. The motor is bigger then the cut out for the frame so Im working on a design for mounting it.

Use a 1/8" Thick Steel ring 2 in wide Also put a layer of Gasket to seal it to the box. I have done this a few times works well.

Thought about something like that but not steel. Maybe an MDF ring.

Too late for the ring, would have to have been put on the basket before assembly. Invert it. Double layer the mounting baffle.Make one layer the cutout for the cone and the other for the outer diameter of the basket so you can mount it easier. Just an idea.
