So I had my truck metered today, and to my DISAPPOINTMENT, it only bass raced a 147.1 and burped a 150.1 at 40hz.
I have (4) Memphis Mojo 15's on 5000 watts so it was quite disappointing..
With that being said, its time to change it up.
I have been looking at a few subs and have come up with an idea..
(2) Digital Designs 9518g's
or
(2) LMS Ultra 18s
The LMS are way hard to get for a decent price and I am leaning more towards the DD's
I am going to be using 5000 watts at 1 ohm or .5 ohms depending on which is more practical for daily. Any thoughts on which would be better?

You probably could have bassraced a better number if the start/song was better for your vehicle. I burp a 149.7 and bassraced a high of 147.3 with one sub having a 4" tear in it. What song did you use to bassrace with? If your peak is at 40hz some Jeezy probably would have worked best for you. Thug Motivation 101, Trap or Die, and Airforces all work well in that range. Is the vehicle walled? I would also expect more out of 4 15's too, but there may be some things you can do to get it louder without changing subs right now. Can you post up any pictures of your ride so we can see what your working with?

you can lose a good bit of power, and the power you do have can be VERY dirty power, which isn't going to help score on bit

Contact me if you are interested in LMS 18's I have another set. That box is way too large. Your truck should be peaking around 44-47 for you to see a better score and the port should be firing back. I have seen those models shine in around a 9.5-10 cubic foot enclosure with less then 90 square inches of port.
