The Cactus,Soundstreamxxx,GZ and others with the 5200/4hp type of motor are on the right track, I just don't think they are there yet with a 4" coil design.

my tipro 15" is currently peaking @ 32hz on a pair of xp1400ds strapped .7ohms on music it still peaks 32hz... doesn't get much more low bass than that imo. tuning is probably right around 28hz box is 5 cubes... transfer function in my truck made it stupid low with both front windows down everything else sealed up. in the car not so much but it's still fun.

my BTL's are taking almost 5k daily so these things BETTER! i may be running all new RF amps sometime in 2009 and if it goes the way i think it will, there will be 6000+ on each one. Ill try them with the power i have now and see how that works out before i step up the power. I DESPERATELY need a new box too though. Ive had the same one since 2004...

Not the 'same' spider platform...trust me, not the same spiders either.

Motor is far stronger then the Ti pro's...there is no pole vent...also has our cooling technology in it as well.

I have some Soundstream XXX 15s does this mean FI/AA will now be able to re-cone them to an 18??
I would be thrilled. And you can print anything you want on my dustcap. I have asked around a lot and the only other source for 4" 15 to 18 swaps for my motors was JD from t3 but he says he has no baskets for me FTL.
p.s. I know it makes no diff but will there be any chance of composit or metal cones in the future?
I have never had any structural problems with the paper cones it's purely an asthetic deal for me.

Not going to happen, the only way your going to get that basket and setup is if you purchase one of the woofers. We're not going to sell them for others to use on other woofers [Smile]

Sorry!!

I would have gladly just bought a pair of the new 18s but of course they appeared just after I made my purchase.

WTF are you talking about? i absolutly LOVE his woofer, minus the dustcap. (of course, sadly, that is only based on looks, atm, as teh specs arent out. however, being fi, im sure its very nice, and i may actually run some) its just funny watching steve and his childish crew get all upset when people dont show him the "love" he is accustomed to:laugh: and david- we arent homies, and wont be. you are a grown man that throws temper tantrums akin to a 12 year old. i dont hang with kids.

i am a nice guy [Smile]

but over there, for NO reason whatsoever, i get called every name in the book by a select few losers.....then when i defend myself, i get piled on by a few more select dumbasses. If i went to a thread and called someone a f#cking assho!e (out of the blue, for no reason), maybe even YOU, that person (or you) would jump in with everything you had and go after me for doing it. No, not those guys, they turn it right back on me for defending myself......and i dont think i even ripped anyone a new ass like i wanted to. I think i take it pretty good considering if it was in person, id be locked up if someone said ANY of that to my face. Especially 10 years ago when i was quick to drop someone for getting smart like that...

im laid back now and think about my actions more then i used to but its still probably best people save those nasty comments for the safety of mommas basement and the computer screen [Big Grin]

back on topic though, thanks to everyone who supports a brotha tryin to come up in the game! Hopefully mine and Scotts new project will be worth it!!
