I'm looking to do 2 subs either 15s or 18s with 2 7k amps on 16V.

What 2 subs can handle that power in a daily setup?

It will be in around a 10 cu ft. box tuned to around 35hz.

i noticed the Z behind that 9912 and thats too rich for my blood. I was kind of hoping someone has used the t3 tsns or the cactus spl sub in a high powered daily setup as they are more in my price range.

Go with Cactus. Chris is a great guy, and his subs will handle that + some.

I think Gorman had a few hundred at 168.8+ on his TSNS..... Its all in the operator.

Could be one burp.... could be 1 thousand.
The motors and coils are similar.....

Our spider is much bigger.... and excursion too.

Yes..... but the "TSNS machine" is not the daily woofer....it is a burp only motor designed to be the loudest possible.... actually it will not reproduce music clearly at all.... only play a tone well. (yes it will reproduce music...but sound horrible due to intended use design)

The standard "TSNS" will be the daily use woofer with larger gap design and pole cooling. This woofer is excellent for music and spl.

Expect .7 to 1db gain just swapping out.
But due to design..... impedence rise is almost ZERO, so finding right impedence for amplifiers at full volume might take some testing in each application.
I have seen that you might expect to go up in impedence on the coils by .7ohm.

I have been testing here.... but Rooney will be the first person to receive a pair of the TSNS Machine subs for testing comparison..
