Have a look at the Ascendant Audio Assasin 8s. They are pretty nice little woofers [Smile]

DD 1508's or the Sundown E8's. I think that's the model for the Sundown ones. Check the website to be sure.

i've pulled 141.x with an RE8 @ 51hz using a 4000D @ 2 ohm.

They are a cool little sub, though I ended up fusing the voice coil to the pole piece haha.

The AA Assasin8 looks to be a stronger sub IMO and I'll be testing them in a months time or so [Smile]

thats insane power for a 8" lol.. yeah my amp is a mono 700 watt rms alpine amp. and the subs will each share 1.75 cubes total, and will be in the hatch tuned to 35hz for street beat.. should sound really good.. hope there able to add a nice low end sound to my setup..

one guy here locally is trying to sell me a jl 8w7 sub.. he claims with 500-600 watts rms it should totally rock my car hard!

think a 8L7 with 400watt rms ina 1 cube ported box tuned at 35hz would sound good in my lil hatch? also would it be louder than a basslink 2 ya think?

I've run alot of 8"s and for someone not looking to boom out with heavy bass like it were a large sub 9kv2s are pretty decent... if you do like it boomy sounding DD 8"s are pretty good. I put the L7s kinda low on my scale, I had an 06 pair in 06 and wasn't impressed sold them for $150 for the pair... the DDs are quite a bit louder. I'd probably take the REs over the L7s but haven't played with the RE 8"s in years did tolerate them much longer than the L7s lasted in my truck lol. probably the best 8"s I've run though would be the TC 2+ 8"s I had. they got down low and loud. sounded like larger subs, more lows than the DDs although the DDs did meter pretty well.. I'd say the TruBass 8" is right between the L7 and DD 8" so yeah, I've ran all of the high end 8"s besides the w7.. but I've heard them, and they're pretty loud, but their price reflects that..

with all the rambling done, RE 8"s for lowbass on a slim budget, 9kv2s if you want a good all around sub for cheap, DD if you like hip hop and like boomy bass. Rl-i 8"s if you want them to get low and sound like larger subs [Big Grin] does that help?

vid of my DD 1008a's in my crew cab titan under the rear seat...

I have vids of the RE 8"s and eD 9kv2s on roe...
