Been debating on a sub system for my FD rx7..

i have one layer of dynamat extreme installed.. im not looking for super hardcore bass but i do want some low end..

I have kicker mids and highs running off my alpine w200 dvd headunit.. and now i need some low end but i wanna keep it somewhat light and i wanna keep it decently sounding.. enough to listen to any music I want, and still rock hard inside the car! I want to be able to feel the music cause i listen to it to the max that I can!

I love rock music! but my gf likes RB and hiphop so it needs to sound good with roughly anything..

I have been debating on buying the basslink 2 unit and mids and high amp for it..

and the other option is buying a L5 8" kicker sub and a kicker 700.5 amp to power everything..

If i run the kicker sub it will be in a ported box and not be too large..

which will sound better and be louder and lightest do you all think?? like i said im not wanting to win any comps just rock out to my music! and since the car is a super light car I kinda wanna keep it that way!
