What kind of sq have you all experienced from 15 inch subs in properly tuned boxes? I was looking at 4 12's in a wall but 4 15's sounds a bit more fun, my concern is though with the fact that at times I listn to death metal and the bass in that gets to the extreme range in speed. Such as 200+ beats per minute at times. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think I can fit them in the civic and give them the proper port area to make them shine. I don't have an astro, haha.

for metal no doubt i would do 10s. the reason is not because people say 15s are sloppy which is not the case. the 10s will be louder at the frequencys played. most metal music dosent dip down below 45hz...

15s are awesome for SQ...but really with 4 15s in a wall, what kind of SQ are you talking about? What mids and highs do you have?
The "fast" comes from the midbass. If your sub can play into the lower midbass range really well, then it should sound good on fast music.

thats just from displacement though. If the enclosure is setup properly you won't have a spike like that with different sized woofers.
Most people think woofers need too big of a box and tune it super low and when it peaks at 35/40 hz they wonder why it doesn't play the higher frequencies.
Most bigger woofers will only have an fs a few frequencies lower then their smaller brothers, and thats just from the extra weight of the cone. Not a big difference.
Basically, the cone area of a woofer does not limit the frequencies a sub can play
