Yea bring em on! One of my best sounding systems was similar to that with the subs sealed off from the trunk. I loved it! What does it hit?

Here is a closer look at one of the corners
These next pictures aren't super cool but shows t-nuts process. I really wanted to use fine threaded 10/32 bolts but the T-nuts are a little large in diameter so I rotated them so that all three prongs made their way into the wood then glued and tightened them in place. I then ground down just enough of the t-nut so that I could cover them for cosmetic purposes so you can't see them through the polycarbonate panel located in the rear of the box. (Those pics coming soon) And here is one finished over with bondoglass.. I left the bolts threaded in the t-nuts, sticking up just a tad prior to adding the bondoglass so the bondoglass couldn't make it's way into the t-nut threads. Once the bondoglass was cured enough I broke the bolts free from the bondoglass. The bolts I will be using don't quite make it to the end of the threads when the sub is in place so no worries on over tightening and busting the bondoglass out the backside.
I'll have some of the better pictures posted soon.. hopefully tomorrow! Enjoy the obround

More of the process pictures! I drew out an autocad template for the holes located around my radius, marked them then drilled them out. Here is a birds eye view of the clear view side with all the T-nuts recessed, glued and tightened. And a close up view of the above picture. Polycarbonate mounting side with all the bolts in their locations. Close up view of the above picture. Here is a picture of the recessed T-nuts side filled over with bondoglass. And a close up of the above picture. Some of the cooler stuff on it's way. I just thought some might take interest in the process Enjoy!

Hopefully the resin coating will keep that from happening Posts: 9 | From: Missouri | Registered: Feb 2008

that's why i sometime drill a sideways hole in the pre-drill, and a vent hole on the other side. never comes out that way, but it's extra work on that many holes.
