there is a 4" aero that comes out one of the sides for the back chamber. the big flare is a port for the front chamber. If you are refering to the round cutout on the top of the box, that is actually a viewing window. I had some uv/scratch resistant Lexan vaccumm-routed into circles a while back for a cancelled project. So, I routed a recessed circle for the lexan to mount in, flush with the inside of the top/lid. then routed a small circle all the way through the top, then did a roundover on the outside. Since it's a 6th order, I decided I wanted a window so that I can watch cone movement and control. I think the small chamber size and variety of ports should help it from unloading too much. The router did get away from me a little bit, so the viewing hole isn't perfectly round. I scuffed the lexan, then painted the top with resin, then screwed the lexan in. that's why there's drips going to wrong way.

i found out I can not only burp, but play BOTH of my Brutus 2005d's for over 1minute on just 2x 20A fuses each. I need to get my impedance down bigtime. Lots more power in those amps.

it's ported out one of the sides. and a big flared port coming out the front. I haven't had a chance to try the box. Someone came and stole all my amps, subs, radio face, maxxlink, etc. So, it may be a LONG time before this thing gets to play.

---UPDATE--- I'm back to work on this box. My Brutus 2005d's and L7's were stolen. I have an Autotek MM3000.1 amp, XS D3100 battery. Big Jerry sold me a couple Hifonics Atlas Square 12"s from 2005'ish. So I have square subs again. The Atlas have a different cutout, so I had to add another 1/2"MDF to the baffle. That will leave me exactly 1.95cf on the "front" chamber. It's glued and screwed. I'm off work next 2days , so if it's not raining, I'll add some resin.
pics tonight Also gonna test those subs in my current daily box before this thing goes into the car.

Here's a few shots from the other night. bad weather and cooking on the grill while drinking beer slowed me down a little. but it does have resin on the new baffle, just haven't gotten picture of that yet

probably a little more updates sunday/tomorrow night. I'll be off work, so I'll do a little more if I don't drink too much. Posts: 5526 | From: Columbus, OH - formerly FL | Registered: Oct 2003

I can snap another photo tonight after I add some glaze putty. No major updates. I've been busy with work....and modifying my other box to fit the squares. I wanted to do a straight drop-in test upgrading from two 2008 CV Vmax's to the Atlas in the same box. So far, sounds louder on music. On a burp, hard to tell by ear. Maybe one Sunday I'll meet up with Eric Alexander and do some testing. Didn't happen this sunday do to the unfortunate instance that happened to a friend. More later tonight

What kind of tuning and cubic volume's do the chamber's have? Which one is tuned low and which is tuned high? BP's are so intriguing to me and I would really love to gain a greater understanding on how to properly design/implement and BP enclosure. I hope these questions are not too invasive.
