i m kind of thinking sub up port back but i ve never built a box this way before and i m concerned that it will change my tuning freq. namely make it lower. the way i m thinking (which very well may be wrong) is that if i fire the port back and its for example 6" from the hatch the airspace between the port, hatch and top of the box will act as an extension to the port which will in turn lower the frequency. also i will have more room for a larger enclosure and batts if i fire the port and sub up. basically all i m asking for is a general idea of the style of enclosure that would work best inside a car of this type i will design the box myself from there. if anyone has had any experience with these cars any input would be very helpful.

subs and port forward doesnt really seem practical in this car unless i remove the rear seat. i m trying to work within the area behind the rear seat. i ve just dropped in a prefab jug15 box from audio enhancers for the time being so its firing sub and port up. with absolutely no tuning the car is doing a 146.2 on a termlab right now. i havent been able to play with it that much but i dont plan on keeping the prefab box for much longer. i need to get a plan in motion before i pull it out and start building but i m just kind of up in the air about the style of enclosure to build. anyone had any significant gains moving from port and sub up to port back sub up in a hatch?
