Apparently Partsexpress is out of stock for 4" precision ports, temporarily. Just thought I'd give everyone the news.
Perhaps someone might have a kit lying around, or maybe just a spare flare for one. Obviously this is not a "want ad" [Wink] . If someone might have one I know someone who wouldn't mind having a PM sent to their inbox. [Blob]

Build them your self take a original 4 in port or 6 in port and tape the port flair with blue tape.

Then screw it to a piece of mdf then poor resin in it and make a reverse mold of it then find some thin walled pvc and take some duct tape and give the pvc 4 wraps around it make sure its 2in from the opening so when you take a heat gun to the top piece that is not taped.

So when you push it on to the mold it will not buldge out and will alow it to flair. good luck and happy building. tj

When I need something bigger than 6", I make one from fiberglass. I've got some 8" and 10" one of those. a little 4" i'd rather just order. and partsexpress is only an hour away, so shipping only takes a day usually.

I here ya time is money just think of the money you save in shipping and in the part when ya all ready have the jig it only takes 5-10 min to build one.

This was an old picture of my 8" port flared out to 17.5" for my Mazda. This was in the early stages, with just a first guidecoat of primer. I was going to use it in StreetA...but then the amplifier rule changed, so I stuck with StB.

nice looking ports! i can see doing these custom to to get the most but when doing a enclosure for a customer it is too easy to open a box and install. 99% of people who want a system dont go to competition. the 6" cost me $30 plus shipping and the customer pays for it in the end not me [Wink] .

if you tell them it will make them .2dbs louder they are like whatttt?

nah. I was going to use it for StreetA...but then they changed the amplifier limit. I've stuck with StreetB. But i'm my mazda, there is no room to use two subs and that port. Bummer. So now it sits. and the inverse mold is just sitting on the shelves in my room. actually the piece you saw there is under my weight bench. Wish I had gotten a chance to play with them.
