Hell just take that box face it down with about a 5" spacer on each side from the floor. You should see a nice increase in spl and it should hit lows a little better.

But if you want to build a box you could upgrade your port to aeroports. I'd do a design with two subs to one side and two ports to the other side. Make it about 5qf total. You actually have a lot of position options for your vehicle.

I finally got home this weekend and took some measurements. I have 42 inches wide, about 23 tall and 17" deep if I make a notch in the back of the box for the jack mount. Those are my max dimensions on the truck. So now I just need to figure out where things will be situated. Ports to the driver side or up? Right now my roof vibrates horribly, would side fire ports help that? Also how could I stiffen the roof a little?

stiffening the roof. You could put some sound damping material up there. Either dynamat, roadkill, or any of the numerous other mats that are available. OR you could get ahold of some DB Blue from Cactus. Contact Geoff(Audio Anonymous). He might have part of a bucket left he could sell you.

Well when I got home today there was a box waiting for me at the door. These things are huge.
Hope to go get my wood this weekend. I think I have a box I can set both subs to the passenger side and fire the ports out the driver side without cutting the flares. I'll post pics when I get something done.

Extended cab trunks do best with sub forward and port facing up, right below the window line.

outside diameter is 9.250" of a 6" aeroport. i would only use 2 of those ports so you dont have to have them soo long and close to the other side of the cab.
he!! i am only using 1 6" aero on a 15" spl sub.

Bought a couple sheets of wood today. Also ordered some mb quart 6.5's for the doors and some dynamat. I am going to build a box for my buddies 10W7 tomorrow and then next week I should get all my parts to start the new system. Will post pictures of my new box and install. Thanks for all the information guys.

Ok got the box built today. Going to do the carpet tomorrow and hopeully figure something out with the ports. The top one gives me a problem because about half of it is in the way of the sub. That is the only way I could do it. The cutout in the back is for the jack mount in the truck that is part of the cab. On to the pics...
In the one pic above you can see where the port is going to be hitting the sub. About all I can see is to cut out just enough to get the sub in there and hope it doesn't block too much of it. I think 3/4 of the port will still be unblocked from the sub.
Also started on these...
Let me know what you all think.

No it wouldn't have been in the way of the sub, but I don't think there will be very much room to have it outside either. I am just going to cut a little out of the top side of the tube and probably won't run the flares on the inside to bring my tuning down a little bit.

Not running the flares on the inside will actually bring up the tuning. When you cut down on the length of a port you raise the frequency, and when you add lenght to a port you drop the frequency. This is only true when you do no other modifications to the port other than cut it down or add lenght to it. So your tuning freq will go up if you decide not to add the flares on the inside of the box. Hope that helps you a little bit.

Yeah I thought of that later. A straight end would lower the tuning compared to a flared end, but I'm losing length by taking the flare off. I may make a little plate to put over the top hole and pull that tube out just far enough to get hte sub in because the truck gets wider as you go up.
