Copy and pasted from my post i the 9500 thread.

You know the funny thing about mtx is.....After bashing Kickers L7 sub for being square in one of their advertisements they are now producing a square sub of their own. HAHAHA To funny. But im sure mtx found a way to cure all the problems with square subs that kicker never could...

Haha No Im not bashing Kicker, im just saying mtx is, and if you read that add they had out comparing to the kicker L7 they try discrediting that sub with a bunch of bs.....and look now they copied it! [Freak] Its just funny.

that cone looks hot! i bet it isnt near as strong as the kicker though because they have years of experience on what works best...

well just got done looking at the specs of this sub,lol smaller that a 2" voice coil and rated at 750rms,hmmm. most of there subs have under 2" vc's,YUCK...

yup, but it is an 8 layer voice coil, most voice coils are only dual layer voice coils.

lol, maybe they will sound better than the kickers sq wise? that would be nice, but, i like the square kickers look better, they look more mean

actually most vc's are 4 layer. more layers dosent make it cool any faster. would also like to know the diameter of the vc wire i bet its realll small. i have never seen a vc take 750rms daily and be smaller than 2"...

oh i am sure they have every size L5 and L7 tested and some torn apart. well if they are smart they would to learn from the original square woofers...
