i bought some db drive 15's from the local shop a few months ago because i was pretty impressed with the product, but they have no tech support for box dimensions or tuning in my opinion, they always tell me they'll call me right back and never hear from them again, but i did find out after building about a half a dozen boxes that the subs work great in other mfg reccommend boxes, just wondering if anyone else is running db drives and how everyone feels about them

Might want to ask some db drive questions on the USACi website. Alot of guys in that org. run db drive equipment.

plw's correct, i have an ext cab s-10 i'm looking for airspace and port dimensions for spl, which way to face the speakers and which way to face the ports, i have to stay below the rear glass to stay in the truck/suv class and not move up into wall

run them at 2.5cf net (area after displacement of port and sub)per sub. fire both sub and port up. use a common chamber enclosure and use a total of 5-6 4" aeroports with a tunning of 40hz. make sure to tape the one end on the port so you can retune by cutting them shorter if needed...

you saying the 2100 is not enough power or the 1000d? it is now your basic ported box where the port in between the subs, and no divider wall, tuned to 40 htz according to the memphis website, box built to mojo specs, speakers and also ports firing up in the ext cab portion of the truck, this box seems like it'll put the numbers up, but that doesn't always mean it'll put the numbers up

Like Geoff mentioned go to the usaci boards, there are several members with the older style s10 running the db drive gear, mostly their amps but two at least have messed with the subs. The run theirs with 3 15s firing forward and slot port all the way in the back firing up

i have plenty of experience with with db drive was sponcered for 05&06,07 my car was wrecked.

the 1000d isnt enough. run those subs 2.5cf tuned to 40hz is a good start. i have burped a pair of the plw's off 2 2000.1's strapped and it was within 10ths of the wd's in the same enclosure and same amps. those subs will handle some power for burps if in the right enclosure...

make sure 2.5cf net. they dont like a large enclosure unless ur planning on just making a 1 note wonder. 2.5 will sound good and do good #'s. i would use 2 4" aeroports per woofer...

Not saying you werent sponsored or have knowledge, just saying those guys over there set records and won finals, they know what they are talking about too.

Just out of curiousity who do you deal with at dB Drive?

subs forward slot port all the way accrossed the back firing up i ran 2 memphis m3 15's in a box that was around 8 cubes and 3 15 inch seleniums in a box around 9.75 cubes with good results the 2 15 set up on 2500 watts was showing a 52.x outlaw and the 3 15 set up on more power was putting up a 54.x with voltage issues theres alot of tricks to the truck also but the box design is where to start at. ps i was burping in the mid 70 hz range

They pretty much hit all the local larger shows I see them when I go. Very good people, not just industry wise, overall good people to call friends. I will tell him you said hi when I see him next.
