When building a diamond syle enclosure, how far apart do the subs need to be to avoid any problems. I might do 12's or 15's depending on the answers.

I don't know a lot about them. But generally speaking cause of pressure I would do 12's over 15's they will take to it a little better

Yeah I'm leaning that way just because of airspace. Main thing I need to know is about the distance. I don't want them to close and have them cancel each other or anythnig like that.

From what I hear there won't be cancellation issues at that close of a proximity with low frequencies. I read this on a different post with a similar question, this is not coming from firsthand knowledge though.

Having the speakers to close is no problem, they can touch if needed.... The trick in making the encloser, is to make the rear sub enclosures smaller than the next going forward. So at the end the rear subs have the smallest size box and the front row would have the largest box. This is because the rear speakers will have more pressure on them than the front so it will help from cancelation... Thanks, Erik Reid
