after checking 'em out and mocking one up i've come to believe the design isn't any better than a generic/prefab 4th order bandpass.

but i would like to be proven wrong [Embarrassed] [Wink] try it out!! what sub??

with a lil plexi it'd make a nice coffee table [Smile]

I know someone who made a 15" version of the wicked one, and now just complains to me of the huge size and mediocire SPL output, but says it plays nice and low. So I guess its all whats important to you, but its definately not some miracle wonder box.

142.0 db at 52hz max spl i got outta it tuned so low

can someone say near flat response curve?

nice job...whats the length that you ended up going with? and the angle you had to adjust your saw too, if you dont mind divulging classified info lol...

to tune it, the sight says to widen the slot opening for a higher tuning right?

theoretically if the chambers were maximized to be the same size relative to an optimum sized enclosure (larger height), think the output would be much higher?

but it also seems like the actual length of the throat of the horn would contribute to the tuning frequency also...i could be wrong, any insight?

there is a mod for the wicked one that makes it into a deceht SPL box =)

cut i believe its a 10 x 10 hole in the sealed chamber makes it into a decent 6th order

I designed the mod for the spl for that box you can email me for the size. I have made dozens of those, many of each size.

well i made the opening wider tonite to raise the tuning

and it didnt make much of a difference

i can tell the tuning is higher, cuz it sounds better on normal bass, like 40-50's hz

but it still hasnt broke a 143

[Frown]

back to the drawing board

anyone else using a memphis m3 sub? any results?

guess ill just go with a big ported box, idfk

Keep in mind this box can be modded to be loud accros a wider range of frequencies, but you still can be a bit louder with a properly tuned ported with a narrow range.

u have to port the subwoofer chambers for it to work for spl. i had one and a regular crx box was still louder.
