Hello all.
I don't post often and this is prob the first time I have posted something like this, but I am looking for very cheap and somewhat reliable 8" subs.
I know some of the questions that will be asked, so let me try to answer them now.

1. Cheap. Very cheap, cheapest you can find. ;-)
2. Power I have, don't worry, they will get what they need. :-)
3. How many do I need. Hmmm. Alot for a project. ;-)
4. What are they going in. Believe it or not, a ford tempo :-P
5. Why 8" and not 10 or 12. Because they are over used and I like smaller subs. ;-)

So there ya have it, any info would greatly be appriciated. I am crazy and yes I do know how to get cheap chit semi loud. ;-)

Thank you.

k.. may have found something. I also found something a little bigger, which isn't what I wanted, but may work.

Has anyone used or know how well the lanzar max series is ? also the massive audio dx series ?

Thank you.

subs were about $US20 each, and rated at 100watts [Smile]

xsite's mid level 8... don't know what model number it has now... you can find em on ebay for $10-$25 bucks each new..

easy enough on the ears sound wise, and surprising output for the price...

one of the best bang for the buck drivers we tested in the great 8 challenge..

Was lookin at the tangs and cv's. :-) They seem to be around the price. ;-) Also found some pyramids that may work, yes pyramid.LOL

Your right as well, I know I would be better waiting and getting better quality, but if you know how to set up and use the cheap equip, then you will be fine. ;-)

Thank you all, still wonderin bout the xsite and lanzars. :-D

Email James Carroll @ True Bass Solutions. He builds 8's and 10's. He has got an 8 for around 20 bucks. Works pretty good. We did 16 in a wall in a Firebird. Did 148's in MECA SPL

Resonant Engineering RE8's. I believe you can get them for around $60 each now. they have pretty good SQ as well.

This guy did a 148.1 (new A/C...so probably around a 145ish on a TL) with 12 of them sealed with a single MTX 1501D...thats around 125rms each.
