Which sub would be better (louder) for SPL competition??? Assume they would be getting the same power, probably 5 kW Goliath, and playing around 65 Hz. DD is 2x1 ohm, so it would be wired into 0.5 ohms same as the Goliath. I can get a good deal for both of them, but Goliath is about 3x cheaper, and I can't ignore that! If the difference would be less than 0.4-0.5 dB, I'd sure take cheaper driver, and I know that Hifo handles power pretty well.

With a paper cone 9512 and 3-4 Kw clamped power on that speaker you should be able to do 153+ in the right box, if your car is a hatchback (not Panda & Co.).
